Busting Out the Dance Moves: A Review of DAY FEVER’s Daytime Spectacular

Let’s talk about the most exhilarating day out you didn’t know you needed: DAY FEVER. With its recent feature in our festive issue, we couldn’t resist checking out what the daytime disco craze is all about. Arriving with open minds (and a readiness to groove), we were instantly welcomed into a world of nostalgic beats and carefree vibes.
Imagine stepping into a vibrant Ulster Hall where Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love” is booming, and the dance floor is already buzzing with energy. That fantastic feeling? We had officially found our place, a delightfully liberating space for an afternoon and evening filled with dancing, drinks, and the continued freedom to not care about a thing. We mingled like old friends, danced with some new faces, and even struck up conversations in the bar queues, bringing back all the enchantment of teenage nights out, except with the luxury of being home in our pyjamas before the clock struck 9 PM!
What stands out about DAY FEVER is its eclectic crowd; there’s no age limit here! You’ve got young’uns shaking their stuff right beside those who’ve been dancing through the decades. Outfits ranged from the cosy and casual to full-on glamour, proving that everyone can join the fun in their own unique style.
The music selection was a delightful mix of 80s classics, 90s bangers, 00s anthems, and today’s hits that unfolded seamlessly, setting the perfect backdrop for anyone who wanted to flaunt their dance moves on stage. And speaking of the stage, it invites guests to participate, giving everyone a shot at the spotlight to showcase their best moves live on stage.

Sadly, we missed Vicky McClure, who couldn’t make it due to her busy filming schedule, but she sent a lovely video note from afar, hoping to be at the next Belfast event in April! Speaking of future events, if you think your clubbing days are over, think again; DAY FEVER shows us the party is just getting fired up. What started as a little idea among friends has exploded into a national sensation. After a record-breaking 2025, the good times are carrying on into 2026 for the Day Fever Crew!
Vicky, Jonny Owen, and the McClure brothers have transformed this concept into something extraordinary. From a charming debut in Sheffield’s City Hall Ballroom to touring across the UK, the mission remains: providing a space for laughter, joy, and dancing, all while being home before bedtime!
DAY FEVER is truly the ultimate combination of a night out sans the late-night drama. It runs from 3 PM to 8 PM, perfect for those wanting to ditch the hangover and still have a blast. With no dress code and an ego-free atmosphere, it’s a fantastically inclusive party where everyone’s welcome. Whether you’re rocking glittery heels or sporty trainers, you’re part of the family.
Co-founder Vicky McClure sums it up perfectly: “It feels like a massive house party at your nan’s. No drama, just people getting dressed up and having the best time!” After travelling up and down the country and witnessing countless smiles, it’s clear: DAY FEVER is all about taking a breather from reality and having a good dance.
So mark your calendars because the next Belfast date is on the 4th April, 2026! Tickets are just £13.50 plus booking fee, and trust us, this is an event you don’t want to miss. For more info, head over to their website, and get ready to unleash your inner disco, because life’s too short to save the dancing for nighttime! See you on the dance floor! 🎉✨
