Get ready to grab a cup of “Central Perk“ coffee and settle in for a night of laughter, nostalgia, and everything you love about the beloved "Friends" series, because “Friends the Musical Parody” is here, and it’s a riot! Straight from the producers of the hit musical “Hairspray” and directed by the mastermind behind “The Full Monty,” this show promises to be a comedic treat that leaves you in stitches, and believe me, my cheeks were sore from all the laughing out loud and reminiscent smiling of pure nostalgic joy by the end of it!

“The One Where They Sing” could not have been any funnier. This New York and Las Vegas sensation delivers a delightful sideswipe at the iconic moments from all ten seasons of the show, with an entirely original score that captures the essence of our favourite gang of twenty-somethings as they navigate the ups and downs of life in 1990s New York City.

As you sit back and soak in the hilarity, you’ll find yourself joined by Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe, all immortalised by an exceptionally talented cast. Enzo Benvenuti as Ross, Alicia Belgarde as Monica, and Daniel Parkinson as Chandler nailed their characters, embodying their quirks and mannerisms to a T. Harry Mallaghan (Joey) and Amelia Atherton (Phoebe) deliver charm and comedic flair, while Eva Hope as Rachel brings a fresh take to her iconic role. Let's not forget Edward Leigh, who seamlessly shifts between five characters, including the lovesick Gunther and the ever-memorable Tom Selleck.

Now, let’s be clear: this is a parody, but what makes it shine is how cleverly it weaves in so many key moments from the beloved series. The actors' commitment to their characters creates a delightful atmosphere reminiscent of being in the audience during an actual “Friends” taping. With audience participation at strategic moments, you’ll feel that gratifying connection as you laugh, shout, and maybe even cringe together!

The set changes are nothing short of impressive, transforming with lightning speed to recreate those iconic scenes fans know and love. And the musical numbers? Absolutely hilarious! From "Typical Day at Central Perk" to the laugh-out-loud "OMG It’s Janice," the soundtrack rips the piss out of everything “Friends”, '90s TV culture, and even the actors themselves. You can't help but chuckle at the clever references, especially Janice’s trademark high-pitched “Oh My Gawd!” that elicits roars of laughter from the audience.

One highlight that can’t go unmentioned is the beloved “Pivot” scene, which receives an uproarious comedic twist; it's a showstopper that fans of the series will wholeheartedly appreciate. There’s even a cheeky homage to musical theatre with a Chicago-inspired "Central Perk Tango."

This high-energy, nostalgic romp celebrates all that made “Friends” a phenomenon, poking affectionate fun at the character tropes we adore. It’s charming, witty, and doesn’t take itself too seriously, making it a perfect night out for die-hard fans or anyone looking to revel in a fun, lighthearted comedy.

“Friends the Musical Parody” is a must-see”” It captures the essence of the show while delivering a fresh, satirical take that will have you laughing, reminiscing, and quoting your favourite lines long after the curtain falls. Just be warned: you might find yourself spontaneously PIVOT-ing on your way out! Grab your tickets, and prepare for a night of laughter that’ll leave you saying, “That was just perfect!”
