At just twenty two, Alessi Rose is already making waves as one of the most authentic and captivating voices in modern pop. From scribbling angsty poetry as a teenager to performing on some of the biggest stages across Europe and the U S, her journey is as inspiring as her music

Alessi Rose is an English singer/song writer who began writing angsty poetry at the age of13 before later studying poetry at university in Lon don. Cut to 2025 and Rose, now 22, is taking the world by storm. From her breakout Glastonbury debut, her first series of U.S tour dates and a run supporting Dua Lipa in arenas and stadiums across Europe, it’s clear that Rose is showing no signs of slowing down. With two U.K./European tours already under her belt this young artist isn’t just on an upwards incline but is shooting straight for the stars.
On her new EP Voyeur, Alessi Rose pulls back the curtain on the messy, exhilarating, and often confusing world of modern relationships. The title is perfect. Listening to these eight songs feels like reading through the artist’s diary. Getting the unfiltered thoughts, the midnight confessions, and the kind of raw honesty that’s both uncomfortable and completely captivating. Rose has created a soundtrack for anyone who has ever overthought a text message or fallen for someone they know they shouldn’t.
The EP kicks off with “Same Mouth,” a track that perfectly explores what it’s like to fall for a guy who is a walking red flag. We’ve all been there, right? You know the guy I’m talking about. Over shimmering guitar, Rose details the contradiction of being pushed away and pulled back in by the same person. It’s a classic “situationship” anthem, setting the tone for an EP that isn’t afraid to live in the grey areas of love and lust. The production throughout Voyeur walks a fine line between intimate, bedroom-pop whispers and big, cinematic alt-pop choruses, making each song feel both personal and ready for a festival stage. (Hello Glastonbury, can you hear me? When do we get round 2? Asking for a friend)
What makes this EP different to others of the same ilk is the breadth of experiences it covers, songs that don’t just cover betrayal in romantic relationships but also friendships. Track 4, Stella, is about a complicated friendship and the emotions that come with dealing with that. A delicate track including gentle instruments with lyrics that have a big impact.
Whoever Stella is, this track is an epic f**k you to them and I’m here for it.
What makes Voyeur so compelling is Rose’s sharp and specific songwriting. She has a knack for dropping one-liners that hit you right in the chest. “That Could Be Me,” leans into a grittier, rock-tinged sound, exploring the painful obsession that comes with seeing your crush with someone else. It’s a fabulous burst of angst and longing that feels destined to be screamed along to by thousands.
Not every moment is full of frustration, though. There are points of quiet reflection, like on the gentle “Bittersweet,” where Rose admits, “I’m not happy, I’m not sad, I’m in-between, I’m bittersweet.” It’s a beautifully simple and relatable sentiment. The closing track, “Dumb Girl,” is another highlight, a stripped-back confession of choosing to go back to someone even when you know better. It’s a raw and self-aware ending to a project that thrives on that very quality.
Ultimately, Voyeur is a fabulous and confident step forward for Alessi Rose. She solidifies her status as a major voice in confessional pop, turning her own emotional experiences into something smart, spiky, and incredibly catchy. It’s a project for the hopeless romantics who know they’re being a little delusional but can’t help themselves. Rose sees them, because she is them, and she’s made their new favourite record.
Alessi Rose's UK/Ireland leg of The Voyeur Tour kicks off in Dublin on 17th November.
