Shaken, Stirred & ALL SHOOK UP
I am anything but an Elvis fan so you can imagine the massive roll of my eyes when I was asked to go review this musical based around the music of Elvis. I can honestly say hand on heart I really enjoyed this show and for the majority of the show really didn’t notice the Elvis songs with the way they were included in the show with different arrangements to fit around the story.
One would easily forget this production was staged by Fortwilliam Musical Society as the cast sounded and looked like something fresh from a the Westend stage, their fine voice were paired with rhythm in their synchronised dances. There were a few flashes of toned torsos, one of which was rather surprising given the character but impressive none the less.
The 2 main leads Daniel May and Emma Dallas belted out the tunes and carried the story line with the support of their amazing co-stars and a live band.
We highly recommend this musical if you love the likes of Mamma Mia, Saturday Night Fever, Chicago.
