Huge percentage of Trump supporters want gay people banned from the US
A recent poll on the Public Poling Policy site found that over 31% of South Carolina residents want Trump to ban gays from living and entering the United States.
The leading Republican candidate for the presidential elections, far ahead of his competitors, also spoke out about reversing the gay marriage law which was put into place last year. Trump has said that reversing this will unify America and will ‘make America great again.’
"I'm not in favour of gay marriage. They should not be able to marry."
"I just don't feel good about it. I don't feel right about it. I'm against it… I'm opposed to gay marriage."
Republicans have had a bad history with the LGBT community, being in favour of passing several bills to stunt gay progress and defending anti-gay legislation. The poll also revealed that Trumps supporters are also in favour of banning Muslims from the country and creating a database to ‘keep track; of Muslims.
