Heavyweight boxers face-off over gay slurs

Manny Pacquiao, the Pilipino World Champion professional boxer, has come under fire after his latest interview, with Floyd Mayweather even scalding him, where he condemns gay marriage and same sex relations. In the interview for TV5, Manny, who is now running for senate in the Philippines is heard saying that gay people are worse than animals.

“As a Christian, same sex marriage is prohibited. Women were made for men, and men were made for women. For me it’s just common sense.”

“Do you see animals mating with the same sex? Animals are better because they can distinguish male from female. If men mate with men and women mate with women, they are worse than animals.”

Twitter wasn’t happy and had famous Pilipino faces retaliate, with the leading comedian saying, “Some people think they can judge people like God just because they’ve attended a prayer meeting and read the Bible. The senate needs experts on politics and law, not blind prophets.”

The American heavyweight, Floyd Mayweather also chipped in defending gay people after being quizzed by TMZ, saying, “We have to stay positive. I don’t have nothing against anyone. We should let people live their lives the way they want to live their lives. To each his own.”

Manny since has not apologized for his statements but instead taken himself to Instagram to share a picture of his wife and a quote from the Bible;

"I rather obey the Lord's command than obeying the desires of the flesh. Im not condemning anyone, but I'm just telling the truth of what the Bible says. The truth from the Bible is what changed me from my old ways. 1 Corinthians 6:9 "[9] Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men."
