Brexit Without the Bullsh*t

With Gavin Esler, Wednesday 30 Oct, Ulster University, York St

Brexit Without the Bullsh*t is not about the Brexit you were told you were getting; it’s about the one that is arriving.

From fishing to passports, the backstop and the border, on the eve of Brexit BBC TV veteran Gavin Esler presents a no-holds-barred guide to the most momentous change in the UK fordecades.

Gavin Esler is journalist, television presenter and author. He was a main presenter of the BBC current affairs show Newsnight for 12 years until 2014.

Gavin was born in Glasgow, and brought up in Edinburgh and Northern Ireland. He worked at The Belfast Telegraph and the BBC in Belfast during some of the worst of ‘the Troubles’.

Since 2014, he has been the Chancellor of the University of Kent, a public speaker, and a political commentator and journalist. He is the author of five thrillers and three non-fiction books. In 2019 he stood for Change UK in the London region for election to the European Parliament. He contributes to the New European newspaper.
