GNI MAG AWARDS 2017 – DETAILS RELEASED
The inaugural GNI MAG AWARDS took place last year in Belfast and during the gala evening we celebrated and honoured those individuals and businesses who had made a positive contribution to the local LGBT community. The 2017 awards date has been released as 26th October 2017 in the Clayton Hotel in Belfast’s City Centre.
GNI MAG are thrilled to announce that Santander have come on board as headline sponsor of this year’s awards. Daniel May, GNI MAG Operations Manager said; “Last year’s ceremony was filled with pride and celebration, we are delighted that Santander are making this positive step in standing up and being counted within our local LGBT community, demonstrating their willingness in being noticed as an LGBT ally”. The Rainbow Project, Northern Ireland’s LGBT charity are back this year as the Charity Partner for the GNI MAG AWARDS. John Doherty from The Rainbow Project added; “We are honoured to once again be the nominated charity partner for the GNI MAG AWARDS. There are many unsung heroes in the Northern Ireland LGBT community and the GNI MAG AWARDS provides us an opportunity to celebrate those who are committed to addressing the inequalities we experience.”
This year there are twenty award categories including: Most Influential Local LGBT Person, Local Politician of the Year, and Business Contribution to the LGBT Community. Details on nominations and voting will be announced in August this year. Keep up-to-date on HERE
