Obama admits anti-LGBT laws should be abolished during his trip to the UK

The President also weighed in on other issues such as whether or not the UK should stay in the EU.

The recent passing of North Carolina's anti-LGBT law, which prevents the community from using anti-discrimination laws and transgender people being forced to use the bathrooms assigned on their birth certificate, was apparently a talking point for the president on his UK tour.

During a conference in London, Barack admitted that he believes the laws should be reversed but defended some of the people who agreed with it, saying he believes there are some good people. His priority was to emphasize the law should be overturned.

“I also think that the laws that have been passed there are wrong and should be overturned and they’re in response to politics in part and some strong emotions that are generated by people,” Obama said.

Reassuring us, the President also said that gay travelers should not be put of by the law, as America will treat them with 'extraordinary hospitality'.
